Singapore Botanical Gardens

These are a few shots that I took when visiting the Botanic Garden. I was playing around with the flower macro zoom facility of my camera - I'm quite pleased with some of the results.

The first pic is of the national flower of Singapore - Vanda Miss Joaquim (Vanda hookeriana x Vanda teres if you're interested):

 

And finally, this one is of the symphony stage, which presumably implies that they perform symphonies there. I suppose it could be useful to have a moat protecting the orchestra if it was something like Messiaen on the programme...
